Paying for non-NHS services
Although most treatment and services you receive at Moorside Surgery are covered by the NHS and are therefore provided free of charge there are certain items that are not covered by the NHS but which are nevertheless still provided by the surgery. These services are chargeable and a full list of such services is available at reception. They include, but are not restricted to, certain travel immunisations, medical examinations for insurance and employment purposes, signing of passport applications and private prescriptions for items not allowed to be prescribed under the NHS. If you request a non-NHS service or treatment for which a fee is charged then this will be explained clearly to you at the outset. We kindly request that you pay the fee promptly (we can now take payments by most major credit and debit cards) once the service has been provided.
